SPARKS, NV (May 27, 2020) – Emergency crews sent a woman to the hospital after a pedestrian accident on Lincoln Way on Wednesday evening.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Marina Gateway Drive at approximately 7:50 PM.
A report from the Sparks Police Department showed that the 33-year-old Sparks woman was walking in the crosswalk prior to the accident. For an unknown reason, the vehicle came and struck her.
As a response, crews sent the victim to the hospital for treatment. They reported that she was listed in a stable condition.
East Lincoln Way was closed while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation into the pedestrian accident. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash. However, police officers cited the involved driver.
