One Killed in Car and Truck Accident on 15 Freeway [Victorville, CA]
Car Crashes into Semi-Truck in Fatal Victorville Accident
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car and truck accident on 15 Freeway on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Bear Valley Road at about 12:10 AM.
Upon arrival, emergency crews located a black 1999 Toyota Avalon pinned under the rear of a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia. In addition, crews said that one person was trapped inside the car.
As a result, Victorville City Firefighters pronounced that individual deceased at the scene. They did not release the identity of the victim pending kin notification.
CHP officers said that the driver of the semi reported that he was asleep in the cab when the crash occurred. As of this moment, officials are still investigating the official cause of the crash.
