Vehicle Catches Fire in Accident near Dollar Tree Store in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (May 23, 2020) – Emergency crews sent two people to the hospital after a car accident on Vista Way on Saturday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the Dollar Tree store just before 11:00 PM.
 
Responders found a silver sedan and an SUV at the scene. Fire officials said that the SUV overturned and landed on its side. As a result, it caught fire in the incident.
 
Firefighters extricated a woman out of the sedan using the jaws of life. They transported her to Palomar Hospital with serious injuries. In addition, they also sent the SUV driver to a local hospital to be evaluated for minor injuries.
 
Officials have not yet shared information on the conditions which led to the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
