MESA, AZ (May 29, 2020) — A rollover crash Tuesday morning on North Greenfield Road near Highway 202 claimed two lives.
 
According to the police department, the solo-vehicle accident took place near Loop 202.
 
As the car traveled northbound on North Greenfield Road, it continued past the cul-de-sac and went airborne for about 75 feet before hitting the ground nose-first. Police added that the vehicle overturned on its roof and came to a stop.
 
As a result, 43-year-old Melanie Reina Lopez and 28-year-old Michael Norris Jr. died in the crash. Two others sustained unknown injuries and are expected to recover.
 
According to their investigation, police believe DUI played a part in the accident; however, they plan to explore other details that could explain the accident.
