Man Severely Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 59th Avenue Near Northern Avenue [Glendale, AZ]

GLENDALE, AZ (May 29, 2020) — A driver struck and seriously injured a man early Thursday in a pedestrian accident on 59th Avenue near West Northern Avenue.
 
According to the Glendale Police Department, the pedestrian-involved incident took place at approximately 2:00 a.m. Police officers believe that a driver heading northbound on North 59th Avenue struck the pedestrian just north of West Northern Avenue.
 
Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the male victim to a hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the female driver stayed at the scene for police questioning.
 
Investigators do not suspect impairment to have played a role in the accident, but a follow-up examination is required to fully determine the cause.
