Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested After Newport Beach Accident

 
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (May 26, 2020) – Emergency crews sent three people to the hospital after a multi-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Balboa Bay Resort at approximately 10:30 AM.
 
A report showed a Range Rover and a Ferrari traveling at high speeds prior to the collision. As a result, both vehicles struck two other cars on the road. The driver of the Range Rover stayed at the crash scene, while the driver of the Ferrari kept going.
 
Crews took three people from the two vehicles to the hospital. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police later tracked and arrested the Ferrari driver. They booked the woman on suspicion of evading peace officers and hit and run with property damage.
 
Police did not release further details. However, they are currently investigating what led to the crash.
