Woman Hit, Injured by Vehicle in Shoreline Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99
SHORELINE, WA (May 22, 2020) — Officials reported a driver striking and injuring a female in a pedestrian crash on Highway 99 near North 175th Street.
According to police, witnesses informed them that a woman tried crossing the highway, causing oncoming drivers to swerve around to avoid hitting her.
However, one driver, attempting a turn onto the highway from a parking lot, ended up striking the 32-year-old woman.
Paramedics shuttled her to Harborview Medical in Seattle with serious injuries while the driver stayed on the scene.
Officers ruled out impairment as a contributing source of the accident. However, the case remains open as they determine other unanswered questions.
