Robert Farrell Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 215 Freeway [San Bernardino, CA]
Robert Farrell Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on 215 Freeway Near North Little League Drive
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 22, 2020) — A driver fatally struck and killed a pedestrian sprinting across the 215 Freeway near North Little League Drive Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 29-year-old victim died around 5:40 a.m. as he tried sprinting across the northbound lanes for unknown reasons.
A vehicle described as a 2016 Freightliner motor-home traveling north in the No. 2 lane struck him, causing him fatal injuries.
Moments after the crash, officers interviewed Robert Farrell — the driver of the Freightliner and a resident of Eugene, Ore. However, details remain hazy as investigators are still unsure as to why the victim was in the roadway at the time.
