2 Hurt Following Motorcycle-Truck Collision in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (May 21, 2020) — A motorcycle accident involving a pickup truck Tuesday at Skyway Drive and Auto Park Drive sent two people to local hospitals.
 
According to a witness, the accident befell around 1:15 p.m. The witness testified that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Skyway Drive and collided with a red pickup truck at the intersection.
 
The impact ejected the motorcyclist off the bike and onto the hood of the pickup truck before landing on the road. Soon after, an American Medical Response Team arrived and transported the rider to a local hospital; however, the severity of his injuries was uncertain.
 
The pickup truck driver also sustained injuries and required further evaluation from hospital staff. Meanwhile, investigators deferred questions to the Santa Maria Police Department since details concerning the accident fell short.
