Alaina Swain Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on 7th Street [Victorville, CA]
Alaina Swain Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on 7th Street Near Tracy Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 15, 2020) — A pedestrian died Wednesday night following a hit-and-run crash on 7th Street near Tracy Street.
According to officials, the crash unfolded around 9:37 p.m. when a tan Chevy Tahoe crashed into the Amigo Auto Care at 15255 7th St.
Investigators believe Alaina Swain was driving the Chevy northbound and swerved off the road before hitting a pedestrian on the sidewalk and striking the Auto Care building.
Swain, as well as her two male passengers believed to be in their late 20s, fled the scene; however, deputies became successful in locating her whereabouts at her residence. Still, the other two involved occupants have yet to be identified by detectives.
As for the pedestrian, he or she suffered major injuries in the crash and died at a local hospital. The victim’s name has not been released by officials.
Swain, of Apple Valley, suffered minor to moderate injuries.
