Motorcycle Accident in Madera Turns Fatal
MADERA, CA (May 15, 2020) — A man died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 9 Tuesday afternoon, according to reports.
According to investigators, a 69-year-old man operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle crashed when the rear tire failed for unknown reasons.
The unidentified motorcyclist lost control of the bike, causing it to overturn on the highway several times.
Paramedics arrived shortly after and began administering life-saving efforts but unfortunately, the man died at the scene.
California Highway Patrol officials reported that neither alcohol nor drugs contributed to the accident; however, an ongoing investigation remains as they determine the circumstances that befell prior to the impact.
