Man Dies in Multi-Car Crash on White Lane [Bakersfield, CA]
Four Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash near Grissom Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 11, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a multi-car crash on White Lane on Tuesday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened near Grissom Street around 2:33 PM.
The pile-up started after a Honda ran a red light. As a result, it crashed into a semi-truck that was making a turn at the intersection. A report from the Bakersfield Police Department showed that a white Chrysler Town & Country van and a white Nissan Versa were also involved in the collision.
As a result, paramedics transported the driver of the Honda to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries. The drivers and occupants of the additional involved vehicles did not suffer injuries.
Police did not release further information. However, they continue to investigate the case.
