Rider Injured in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident on Winnetka Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard [Northridge, CA]
Motorcyclist Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Accident in Northridge
NORTHRIDGE, CA (May 12, 2020) — A rider suffered severe injuries after a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Winnetka Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard on May 1.
According to reports, the crash took place around 10:45 p.m. when the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Winnetka Avenue. As the rider tried passing the intersection with Roscoe Boulevard, the bike collided with the northbound hit-and-run vehicle, whose driver tried making a left turn onto westbound Roscoe Boulevard.
Following the crash, the driver reportedly stopped briefly but fled the scene soon after.
The Los Angeles Police Department has circulated a photo of the possible hit-and-run vehicle involved in the accident. In addition, the photo shows a light gray or silver 2014 to 2017 Jeep Cherokee SUV.
