Jesse Kupietz Killed in Pickup Truck Crash on Highway 302 [Gig Harbor, WA]

One Killed and One Injured in Crash near Purdy

 
GIG HARBOR, WA (May 2, 2020) – Troopers identified Jesse Kupietz as the victim killed in a pickup truck crash on Highway 302 on early Saturday morning.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened about 11 miles west of Purdy around 5:10 AM.
 
A Dodge Dakota was heading east on the highway when it went off the roadway to the right, striking the guardrail before spinning around off the roadway and crashing into several trees.
 
Neither occupant of the pickup was wearing a seat belt. As a result, Kupietz, 39, of Gig Harbor, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 38-year-old Bremerton man, sustained injuries.
 
Police did not release additional information. However, an investigation is ongoing.
