Michael Dever Killed in 710 Freeway Pedestrian Accident [Bell Gardens, CA]
Michael Dever Fatally Struck by Driver on 710 Freeway Near Florence Avenue
BELL GARDENS, CA (May 8, 2020)—A pedestrian accident on the 710 Freeway near Florence Avenue claimed a man’s life Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Michael Dever, 39, sustained severe injuries after being struck by a driver in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. Unfortunately, when paramedics arrived at the scene, they pronounced him deceased just moments later.
CHP reported that the driver, a 42-year-old Bell Gardens man, struck Dever around 2:10 a.m. while traveling at about 55 miles per hour. He then stopped at the scene and waited for officers to arrive.
Through investigations, CHP officers ruled out alcohol as a factor in the incident; however, an ongoing investigation continues.
