One Killed in Caltrans Train Accident on Main Street [Redwood City, CA]

REDWOOD CITY, CA (May 4, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that one person died in a Caltrans train accident at the Main Street crossing on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:00 PM.
 
A report from Caltrain officials showed that the victim was struck by Caltrain No. 156, which was heading south at the time of the collision.
 
The victim died at the scene. However, their identity was not yet released. In addition, no one on the train sustained injuries.
