Police Officers Struck by Vehicle in Albuquerque Crash on Central Avenue
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (May 1, 2020) – Two Albuquerque Police officers suffered injuries in a crash on Central Avenue SW on Friday night.
According to Albuquerque Police, the accident happened near Old Coors Drive around 6:30 PM.
The officers were dispatched to the area after reports of a person who passed out in a car. The driver then woke up and put the car into gear. As a result, the car hit the two officers.
The victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver was taken into custody. However, an investigation is ongoing.
