61-Year-Old Man Killed in Truck Crash on 5 Freeway [Willows, CA]

Truck Falls into Overpass in Fatal Crash near County Road 35

 
WILLOWS, CA (April 30, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 61-year-old man was killed in a truck crash on 5 Freeway on Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near County Road 35 just before 8:00 AM.
 
The man was driving the truck hauling hay when it went off the right shoulder and up the hill before it crashed into an overpass.
 
An attending coroner pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
No other details were released. However, an investigation is ongoing.
