Motorcyclist Dies in Lebec Crash

 
LEBEC, CA (May 4, 2020) — A motorcyclist died Saturday evening following an accident on 5 Freeway near Grapevine Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist collided with the rear of the semi-truck in the southbound lanes under unclear circumstances. CHP units closed all southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway due to the deadly crash.
 
The 6:51 p.m. accident left crews no option but to divert traffic off to Grapevine Road.
 
It is unclear at this point what drove the accident. However, investigators plan to examine this matter further to determine any possibilities.
