CLOVIS, CA (April 28, 2020) – An elderly man suffered injuries in a bicycle crash on Auberry Road on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the Clovis Castle around 3:30 PM.
A report showed that the bicyclist, a man in his 60s, rode an electric mountain bike when he drifted into the lane of a utility work truck approaching from behind. As a result, the truck driver swerved left but the truck’s right-side mirror struck the rider in the head.
Paramedics confirmed that the victim sustained moderate to major injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. However, no other details were released.
