Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Eight Avenue [San Diego, CA]
Hit-and-Run Vehicle Involved in Pedestrian Crash near B Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 28, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Eight Avenue on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in a parking lot near B Street around 4:35 AM.
The San Diego Police said that a black Ford F-150 with a flatbed struck and dragged the victim across the parking lot. The driver then fled in an unknown direction.
Paramedics transported the male victim in his 30s to a hospital, where he died due to severe injuries.
No other details were released. However, anyone with information about the crash or the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle is asked to call SDPD’s traffic division at 858-495-7807 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
