Man Dies in West Point Car Crash on Winton Road

 
WEST POINT, CA (April 27, 2020) — A man died following a single-vehicle crash on Winton Road near Lily Gap Road Thursday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened just east of Highway 26 and southwest of Wilson Lake.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received word of a man lying on the road. First Responders arrived to perform CPR in an attempt to resuscitate the victim. However, the man died moments later.
 
As for his name, the coroner’s office has not yet released this information pending notification of family.
 
In addition, the CHP has not disclosed any details concerning the cause of the accident and the circumstances in which it occurred.
