Isaac Romero Fatally Struck by Car at East Shields and North Maroa Avenues

 
FRESNO, CA (April 27, 2020)—A man died in a Thursday night pedestrian accident at East Shields and North Maroa avenues.
 
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. just before officers responded to a call about a woman being hit by a vehicle.
 
Officers determined that the woman had been jaywalking across East Shields Avenue when the driver struck her. The unidentified driver of the vehicle stopped the car and cooperated with police investigators.
 
Meanwhile, the woman had to be rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
 
Authorities confirmed later that the woman who’d been hit was Isaac Romero, who identified as a transgender.
