Jacob Conroy Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash near Oxford Drive [Huntington Beach, CA]
29-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Goldenwest Street in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 24, 2021) – Early Sunday night, 29-year-old Jacob Conroy was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Oxford Drive.
According to reports, a dark colored SUV struck Conroy around 7:15 p.m. Officers arrived near Goldenwest Street shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
In addition, Conroy was walking outside of a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. The driver of the SUV immediately fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Shortly after, a second vehicle struck Conroy while he was down on the roadway. That driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officials.
Due to the impact of both collisions, Conroy succumbed to his injuries.
The SUV was last seen traveling west on Oxford Drive with extensive damage to its front wind shield.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests were made. Huntington Beach Police encourage those with further information to contact their offices at (714) 960-8825.
