Two Hospitalized after DUI Accident on Spring Mountain Road [Las Vegas, NV]
23-Year-Old Driver Critically Injured in Collision on Decatur Boulevard in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 24, 2021) – Sunday night, two men were hospitalized after a DUI accident on Spring Mountain Road.
Las Vegas Police arrived at the scene shortly after 7:30 p.m. The two vehicles involved were described as a Hyundai Elantra and a Dodge Ram truck.
According to reports, the 23-year-old driver of the Hyundai was heading east on Spring Mountain Road when he lost control and crossed into westbound lanes. There, he struck the Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Dodge was only described as a 64-year-old man. Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, their current condition has not been updated.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation. Police currently suspect that the Hyundai driver was imparied at the time of the incident. Although, there have been no updates regarding his arrest.
The roadway was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Witnesses with more information are encouraged to contact Las Vegas Police.
