One Killed in Rollover Crash on US 395 near Cold Springs [Reno, NV]

1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized after Single-Vehicle Accident near Cold Springs in Reno

RENO, NV (January 24, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, one person was killed and another was injured in a rollover crash on US 395.

Nevada Highway Patrol arrived in the area around 7:00 a.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls. According to reports, an unidentified vehicle was heading northbound on US 395 when the driver suddenly lost control.

The vehicle veered to the right before over correcting to the left and crossing both lanes of the highway. As a result, the vehicle rolled over before coming to a complete stop.

Due to the impact of the collision, one passenger was ejected from the car. Medics pronounced the victim dead on scene around 7:09 a.m.

As for the driver, they were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment of serious injuries. Their current condition has not been released.

The roadway was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the area has since reopened.
