Joel Rodriguez Killed in Two-Car Collision on Avenue S [Littlerock, CA]

29-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Multi-Vehicle Accident near 95th Street in Littlerock

LITTLEROCK, CA (January 15, 2021) – Late Friday evening, Joel Rodriguez was killed in a two-car collision on Avenue S near 95th Street.

Around 10:00 p.m., Rodriguez was driving his westbound 1994 Nissan Sentra on Avenue S. For reasons still unknown, he veered to the right and drove off the dirt shoulder before making an abrupt left turn near 95th Street.

There, the Toyota struck the left side of the Nissan. As a result, 29-year-old Rodriguez suffered life-threatening injuries before he was pronounced dead. Moreover, the driver of the Toyota remained unharmed.

The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has been reopened.

At this time it is unclear whether or not drugs and alcohol were factors in the collision. Once available, more information will be released.

CHP encourages drivers in the community to obey all traffic signs and speed limits to avoid becoming involved in a dangerous accident. Additionally, stay focused on the roadway at all times for the safety of yourself and others around.
