Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on North Cincinnati Street [Spokane, WA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by DUI Driver on North Cincinnati Street near Olympic Avenue in Spokane
SPOKANE, WA (January 10, 2021) – Police confirmed that a woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on North Cincinnati Street on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Olympic Avenue just before 5:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was on the road at the time of the accident. Due to unknown reasons, a man she was dating at the time struck her with his vehicle.
As a result, SPD and SFD crews said the female victim died at the scene. They attempted life-saving measures on the woman, but she later succumbed to her injuries. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name pending kin notification.
The driver remained on the scene after the accident. Officers arrested him for vehicular homicide due to being impaired while operating a vehicle that caused the death of another person.
At this point, the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
