Three Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Loop 101 [Phoenix, AZ]
Multiple Vehicles Involved in Serious-Injury Crash on Loop 101 at Thomas Road in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (January 9, 2021) – Emergency crews sent three people to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Loop 101 on Saturday.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Thomas Road.
Based on a report, at least seven people suffered injuries in the crash. Four of the victims refused hospitalization, while three needed medical attention. Two people, ages 52 and 58, are listed in critical condition. The third patient, a 15-year-old, is stable.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said the collision temporarily closed the northbound lanes on Loop 101 while rescue and clearing operations took place.
At this point, no other details are available. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
