Daniel Joseph Huggins Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 22nd Street [Tucson, AZ]
25-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on 22nd Street near 4th Avenue in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (January 6, 2021) – Police identified Daniel Joseph Huggins as the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on 22nd Street on Wednesday evening.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near 4th Avenue at approximately 9:00 PM.
Based on a report, Huggins was traveling eastbound on 22nd in his 2020 Harley-Davidson FXLRS at the time of the crash. At the same time, a Dodge Nitro that was traveling in the opposite lane of traffic made a left turn onto 4th. Due to unknown reasons, the Nitro failed to stop and struck him.
As a result, the Tucson Police Department said Huggins died at the scene.
The driver of the Nitro stayed and cooperated with officers. They determined that he was not impaired at the time of the crash. At this point, TPD investigators are working on determining if speed was a factor in the crash.
