One Killed, Four Injured in Car Crash on 110 Freeway [Gardena, CA]
Single Car Involved in Fatal Crash on 110 Freeway near 405 Freeway in Gardena
GARDENA, CA (December 26, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car crash on southbound 110 Freeway on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on the transition road to 190th Street and 405 Freeway around 2:11 AM.
Based on a report, a 2019 Honda was in the no. 1 lane of the transition road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it struck the guardrail before it caught fire.
As a result, firefighters and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced one person dead at the scene. Officials from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office only identified the victim as a 39-year-old man and a resident of Carson. In addition, crews rushed four critically injured people to area hospitals.
At this point, the crash remains under investigation.
