Five Children Hospitalized After DUI Accident on Baltimore Drive [La Mesa, CA]
DUI Driver Involved in La Mesa DUI Accident on Baltimore Drive near Aztec Drive
LA MESA, CA (December 18, 2020) – Emergency crews transported five children to the hospital following a DUI crash on Baltimore Drive on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Aztec Drive shortly before 11:00 PM.
Based on a report, a drunken woman in a minivan carrying the victims was speeding in the lanes prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it went through a stop sign and hit a parked sedan. Upon assessment, responding officers said none of the children were in car seats.
As a result, two of the children suffered serious injuries in the incident. In addition, the three others had minor injuries. Medics transported all victims to Rady Children’s Hospital.
Later on, La Mesa Police arrested the woman on suspicion of DUI and felony child endangerment.
