42-Year-Old Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway [Alhambra, CA]
Three Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash on 10 Freeway near Atlantic Boulevard in Alhambra
ALHAMBRA, CA (December 17, 2020) – Police are now trying to identify a 42-year-old man who died in a multi-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Atlantic Boulevard at approximately 5:15 PM.
Based on a report, officers initially responded to a 911 call of a 2015 Toyota that was stalled and blocking the No. 1 lane of the toll lanes. However, before officers arrived, a 2018 Nissan SUV driven by a man from Duarte crashed into the rear of the Toyota. Subsequently, it set off a chain reaction crash that also involved a 2018 Ford.
Emergency crews transported the drivers of all three vehicles to a hospital. Unfortunately, the driver of the Nissan died of his injuries. The other two drivers, a 25-year-old woman from Sacramento and a 26-year-old man from South Gate, sustained minor injuries.
Officials did not consider alcohol a factor in the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
