Four Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway [Woodland, CA]
Multiple Vehicles Crash on 5 Freeway near County Road 102 in Woodland
WOODLAND, CA (December 10, 2020) – Emergency crews transported at least four people to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near County Road 102.
Based on a report, several vehicles collided along the southbound side of the freeway. The total number of vehicles is unclear, but officers found at least two cars and one big rig at the scene. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
As a result, the Woodland Fire Department said the crash required heavy extrication. A total of six people were hurt in the incident. Medics sent four victims to the hospital with moderate injuries.
At this point, the California Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
