2 Dead in Multi-Car Crash on 210 Freeway Near 57 Freeway [GLendora, CA]
2 Killed in Multi-Car Collision in Glendora
GLENDORA, CA (December 18, 2020)—Two people died during Thursday’s multi-vehicle accident on the 210 Freeway near the 57 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicular mayhem happened around 12:15 a.m., just west of the 57 Freeway.
At this time, the details remain unclear, but arriving authorities found a total of six vehicles on the eastbound side and a seventh one on the westbound side of the freeway.
Per reports, CHP officers presumed that a driver slammed into the center divider for unclear reasons. Subsequently, other cars crashed into it, given the dark road conditions and the first vehicle having no lights on.
Unfortunately, two drivers died as a result of the accident, one of whom had probably been ejected from a car or struck after exiting one.
Authorities believe that at some point upon exiting, the fatal victim may have been struck in the eastbound lanes and sent to the westbound lanes, where the seventh vehicle became involved.
As for the second victim, a driver, CHP officers found that person deceased moments later in a separate car.
It’s unclear what caused this multi-car collision, but authorities encourage any witnesses to come forward and help them piece together what had happened.
We would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and friends of the victims.
