Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Ramon Road in Cathedral City

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (December 10, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian crash on Ramon Road on Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Avenida Alvera at approximately 09:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the pedestrian on the road. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
 
As a result, Cathedral City Police said responding officers found the victim lying in the street suffering from major injuries. Despite attempts to save the man, the victim died at the scene. Officials did not release the his name pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officers did not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
