2 Killed in High-Speed Accident in West Sacramento

 
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (December 14, 2020)—Two people died Sunday morning following a single-car accident on the 80 Freeway near Reed Avenue.
 
According to officials, the fatal solo-car crash happened around 10:10 a.m. Just west of Reed Avenue, a vehicle speeding westbound on the 80 Freeway tried taking the ramp on a curve, yet at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into a tree, drawing officers and paramedics to the scene soon after.
 
Upon arrival, crews found two people deceased; however, their names have not been made public.
 
At this time, the factors that led to the accident demand further investigation, but anyone who has witnessed the crash should contact the California Highway Patrol.
