Stacey Dunnicliff, 73, Killed in Bicycle Crash on Academy Avenue [Clovis, CA]
Vehicle Involved in Fatal Bicycle Crash on Academy Avenue near Sierra Avenue in Clovis
CLOVIS, CA (December 7, 2020) – Officers identified 73-year-old Stacey Dunnicliff as the victim who died in a bicycle crash on Academy Avenue on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Sierra Avenue around 11:15 AM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding her bicycle northbound on Academy at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she veered to the left into the path of a Toyota Sequoia. As a result, the CHP reported that the crash knocked the cyclist to the roadway.
Medics airlifted her to Community Regional Medical Center, where she died of her injuries. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified her as a Clovis resident. The driver of the SUV, a Clovis man, was not hurt in the incident.
Police did not believe alcohol nor drugs are factors in the collision.
