Pickup Crashes Into Tree in Tacoma, Killing Passenger
TACOMA, WA (December 10, 2020)—A 51-year-old man died following Monday’s suspected DUI accident near Pacific Avenue and South 61st Street.
According to the police, the 51-year-old victim was a passenger in a truck that crashed into a tree around 8:15 p.m.
During the investigation, police learned that the crash happened when the pickup collided with another truck, sending the first truck into a tree.
As a result, the passenger of the first truck died at the scene.
Police arrested the 56-year-old driver, booking the suspect into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault.
As for the other driver, he or she sustained minor injuries in the accident.
