Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on 158th Street SW [Lynnwood, WA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested on DUI after Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 158th Street SW near 35th Avenue SW in Lynnwood
LYNNWOOD, WA (December 1, 2020) – Officers confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on 158th Street SW on Tuesday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 35th Avenue SW.
Based on a report, the victim was walking on the road near the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle came and struck him. Subsequently, the 51-year-old male driver from Lynnwood fled the scene.
As a result, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the man died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
Later on, a deputy stopped the driver on 164th, just a few blocks away from the scene. The officer arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence.
