Dane Adkins-Radford, Emily Hale Killed, Jesus Rios Detained in DUI Two-Car Collision on West Florida Avenue at Kirby Street
HEMET, CA (December 14, 2020)—Two women died following Saturday’s DUI two-car accident on West Florida Avenue at Kirby Street.
According to the Hemet Police Department, the fatal incident took place around 4 a.m.
By using evidence at the scene, investigators learned that 33-year-old Jesus Rios failed to stop his BMW 530i sedan at the intersection’s traffic light. Subsequently, his eastbound sedan struck the back of a Honda Fit, waiting at the red traffic signal.
Tragically, two Honda occupants, described as two 21-year-old women died. Reports have identified them as Dane Adkins-Radford and Emily Hale. While Adkins-Radford died at the scene, Hale succumbed to her injuries at Riverside University Health System Medical Center.
Following the event, Rios, of Downey, reportedly tried fleeing the scene on foot but was captured by a witness.
Shortly after, police arrested and booked him into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of DUI and other charges.
