Elderly Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Wellesley Avenue [Spokane, WA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Wellesley Avenue near Belt Street in Spokane
SPOKANE, WA (November 19, 2020) – Police confirmed that an elderly man died in a pedestrian crash on Wellesley Avenue on Thursday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was at the intersection of Belt Street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an unidentified vehicle struck him.
As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries in the incident.
The driver of the vehicle flagged down an officer to perform CPR until medical personnel arrived and took over. Medics transported the man to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
The driver stayed on scene and was cooperative during the investigation. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
