Motorcyclist Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash on West Elverta Road [Sacramento, CA]
Car Involved in Fatal Crash with Two Motorcycles on West Elverta Road near Garden Highway in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 25, 2020) – Police confirmed that a motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle crash on West Elverta Road on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Garden Highway around 3:20 PM.
Based on a report, a Hyundai Sonata drove into oncoming traffic. Subsequently, the car struck the left side of a Yamaha Sportser. Afterward, the impact pushed the motorcycle to hit the front of a Harley Davidson Street Glide.
As a result, the 51-year-old man who was driving the Harley died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. In addition, medics transported the 64-year-old woman who drove the Yamaha to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
At this point, the cause of the crash is still under investigation. In addition, police ask witnesses to the collision to contact the North Sacramento Area CHP office.
