Man in Critical Condition after Pedestrian Crash on Mission Boulevard [Jurupa Valley, CA]
Jurupa Valley Crash on Mission Boulevard near Glen Street
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (December 9, 2020) – A man is now in critical condition after a pedestrian crash on Mission Boulevard on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Glen Street around 7:35 PM.
Based on a report, first responders found the man lying unconscious on the roadway. Upon assessment, officials learned that a silver 2006 Toyota Tundra struck the victim. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
As a result, the victim sustained major injuries. Deputies performed life-saving measures on the man until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Later on, officers took the motorist to the Jurupa Valley sheriff’s station for questioning.
Authorities said that they don’t believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. However, an investigation was ongoing.
