Driver Killed in Two-Car Overturned Collision in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 7, 2020) — A driver perished Thursday morning in a two-car rollover crash on Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal event happened around 7:00 a.m.
Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a silver Toyota Yaris made an unsafe right lane change. Subsequently, the car struck the back of another vehicle before it struck a concrete wall and overturned several times.
Because the driver had failed to wear a seatbelt, he was ejected from the vehicle before being pinned by the car upon its landing.
Shortly after, crews arrived and extracted him from underneath the wreckage. However, the victim died moments later.
