One Seriously Injured in Rear-End Crash on McQueen Road [Chandler, AZ]
DUI Driver Faces Charges Car Crashes into Apartment on McQueen Road in Chandler
CHANDLER, AZ (December 1, 2020) – Officers confirmed that one person suffered serious injuries in a rear-end crash on McQueen Road on Tuesday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Commonwealth Place around 5:00 AM.
Based on a report, two vehicles were going south on McQueen when one of the vehicles rear-ended the other. Subsequently, the impact of the collision caused the second driver to go off the road, through a concrete drainage system, and into an apartment building.
Fortunately, no one inside the apartment was hurt and the second driver only had minor injuries. However, medics transported the first driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police believe they have enough evidence to arrest the first driver for aggravated DUI and felony endangerment once the driver gets out of the hospital. At this time, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
Never drink before driving to avoid getting hurt or hurting other people. In addition, a DUI crash is dangerous and can cause injuries. However, stay sober, manage your speed, and avoid reckless driving to avoid getting into an accident.
