Woman Killed in Car Crash Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 152 [Chowchilla, CA]
Car Collides with Semi-Truck in Fatal Crash on Highway 152 near Road 13 in Chowchilla
CHOWCHILLA, CA (November 19, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a woman died in a car crash on Highway 152 on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Road 13 at approximately 4:45 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was traveling on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she allowed her car to drive through a stop sign. Subsequently, she crashed into a semi-truck.
As a result, emergency crews reported that the victim from Merced died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name pending kin notification. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the incident.
This time, an investigation into the collision is still ongoing. However, police ask people with information pertinent to the investigation to contact the CHP.
