SAN DIEGO, CA (November 19, 2020)—A pedestrian sustained serious injuries Wednesday after being struck by a train on West Ash Street near Kettner Boulevard.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the Little Italy district.
 
Upon arriving, police found a man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and transported him to a nearby hospital.
 
Following the crash, officers closed the area and the streets leading to it as they investigated the crash.
 
In addition, the railway service in the area was delayed for several hours.
