Fatal Two-Car Accident in Laytonville
LAYTONVILLE, CA (November 16, 2020)—One person died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 101 at Mile Marker 76.
According to Garberville California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash turned fatal around 1:10 p.m., just north of Laytonville.
For unknown reasons, a sedan crashed into a blue truck during what seemed to be wet road conditions. The impact had been so severe that authorities arrived to find the truck on top of the vehicle.
Following the accident, officials closed the area, only allowing one lane of travel.
During this time, investigators plan to explore this crash further and determine the ultimate cause. If anyone has information to share with the CHP, please call the department.
