Christian Inman Killed, 6 Injured in 2-Car Crash on Carmenita Road [Whittier, CA]
Christian Inman Dies in Two-Car Accident on Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway
WHITTIER, CA (November 16, 2020)—An 18-year-old man died in a two-car crash Wednesday night at Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway.
According to authorities, the 10:35 p.m. accident involved a Toyota Corolla heading southbound on Carmenita Road and an Audi S5 traveling north.
An investigation determined that the 21-year-old Temecula man driving the Audi entered the intersection on a red light at excessive speeds and struck the Toyota and a traffic pole.
Per reports, the Audi’s passenger side struck the traffic signal pole on the northeast corner, causing fatal injuries to Christian Inman, of Winchester.
In addition to the fatality, the Audi driver and his three passengers—a 14-year-old Wildomar girl, a 16-year-old Murrieta boy and a 20-year-old Murrieta woman—suffered major injuries. Two other Audi passengers, a 17-year-old Murrieta girl and a 19-year-old Murrieta woman, sustained moderate injuries.
Following the accident, paramedics had to extricate at least one person from the Audi before transferring all of them to a nearby hospital.
Fortunately, the 30-year-old La Mirada man driving the Corolla was not harmed in the crash.
Because details remain unclear, authorities have not made an arrest as they will be investigating this case more closely.
We would like to send our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of Christian Inman.
